und noch mehr von ausiello: Question: You were right: I was crying during the final scene of last week’s Grey’s Anatomy. My heart broke for Alex. Please tell me you have some good news about him. —Anita Ausiello: He makes contact with Izzie this week. That’s the good news. Here’s the bad: She’s not coming out of hiding anytime soon.
Question: I’m a huge Kim Raver fan and I’m thrilled that she is joining Grey’s. Could you give us some scoop on her character? —Sabrina Ausiello: She’s basically Cristina’s worst nightmare: a heart specialist who used to play doctor with Owen. That’s right, Owen’s ex is going to be Cristina’s (potential) mentor! Cue the dramaz!
Question: I have a feeling the Chief will get axed on Grey’s. —Troy Ausiello: A word of advice: You’d make a terrible psychic. The Chief is not the one who gets fired. BTW, unlike Izzie, the doc getting pink-slipped this week won’t be back. Guesses? Head to the comments!
Zusatz: Scoops von SpoilerChat: ADL in N.J.: I can't believe Izzie left Alex on Grey's Anatomy! Will they get back together soon? All we can promise is that Izzie will be back soon—Katherine Heigl is back on the set of Grey's Anatomy this week, along with Ellen Pompeo—but no promises about a full Alex-Izzie reunion. (I mean, if you were Alex, you'd be pretty pissed at Izzie right about now, wouldn't you? Hmmm, maybe Sarah Drew should move in for the kill?)
Suzi in Kent, Ohio: That new doctor with the green eyes on Grey's is so hot. Is he going to have a Seattle Grace romance any time soon? Dr. "Beautiful Green Eyes" is still on the market, Jesse Williams himself dished exclusively to us. "Jackson's about working and just kind of being really effective and not being involved in the business of 'he said, she said' and backstories and stuff," the Grey's addition told us. "But who are we kidding here? It's Grey's Anatomy; I'm sure there is something around the corner. I'm just waiting to hear." Besides yourself, who do you want to see this hunk with?
Zu Christina und Owen: Any news on what's ahead for Cristina and Owen on Grey's Anatomy? I don't want Kim Raver's character to break this couple up. — Lisa ADAM: Sorry, Lisa, but Raver's Teddy is definitely going to be an obstacle to Crowen. What might surprise you, though, is that Teddy won't be the first bump in the road. I'm hearing that sparks are going to fly between Yang and new Mercy West doc Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) in the Nov. 5 episode, a week before Teddy even scrubs in. http://www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-24-...aspx?rss=object
Ausiello Files: Question: I love Grey’s Anatomy but what’s this I hear about trouble on the horizon for Mark and Lexie? Who is this mystery woman from Mark’s past? —Sophie Ausiello: I believe she hails from Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and has McSteamy DNA coursing through her veins. (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/10/28/a...-lost-and-more/)
etwas von Fancast: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ should bring back Burke - but it doesn’t have to be the same actor. If not Isaiah Washington, try someone new. That could be a nice storyline for Cristina. – Annette in Comments I’m glad you shared this sentiment, because I made the exact same pitch to ‘Grey’s’ creator Shonda Rhimes. I mean, why introduce some new doc played by Kim Raver when a return by Burke (even via a recast) could really rattle the rafters? Rhimes’ response: “First of all, you can’t recast Burke. As far as I’m concerned, none of these [cast members] are recastable.” As for ever addressing any business left unfinished when Burke ran out on Yang, Rhimes countered, “No, I feel like we really played that storyline out in the way we meant to play it out - and I think it worked.”http://www.fancast.com/blogs/chuck/the-b...tural-and-more/
Question: Please give us some scoop on Alex and Izzie on Grey’s Anatomy. Is there any good news for them coming up? I’m dying here! —Rachel Ausiello: My new BFF Shonda Rhimes says there are “some shocking things” in store for the newlyweds during the second half of the season. “The next part of [their] journey,” she teases, “is going to be pretty interesting.” I don’t know about you, but I get a little scared when Shonda throws words around like “pretty” and “interesting.” http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/11/04/a...exter-and-more/
Von E!Online: Lucas in Evanston, Ill.: Forget Owen and Cristina on Grey's Anatomy! Give us some scoop on Cristina and Jackson! Please? Look at you with your contrarian point of view! If you are rooting for Cristina-Jackson, you'll be happy to hear from Jesse Williams that most of his scenes are with Sandra Oh and Chyler Leigh: "It seems to be Cristina and also Lexie [that I spent most time with], just because our characters did spend that whole episode together last week. Right when we started, Jackson and Cristina did the opposite of hit it off; immediately they had confrontation with each other, but I do think there is an underlying mutual respect and wariness there that will carry on." Sounds like a definite case of unresolved sexual tension...
Bridget in Portland, Ore.: I loved last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy, especially the scenes between Arizona and Callie! They are becoming my favorite couple on the show. What's the scoop on them coming up? According to the lovely Ms. Jessica Capshaw (aka the Arizona half of Callizona), "I don't have a view of what's around the corner, but it feels like they're in a nice place. I would be lying if I didn't say this is a one-hour drama—of course there's gonna be drama, there has to be—but so far I don't know where the drama or the conflict will be coming from. I think they're just in a very sort of loving relationship and all the good things that come with a new relationship and trying to figure it out." Yay! http://uk.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_wit...esome_gets.html
Ausiello Files: Question: Is Izzie really pregnant on Grey’s Anatomy? —Elle Ausiello: I’ll say this: ABC’s promo gurus are very sneaky! While we’re on the subject of Katherine Heigl, sources confirm to me exclusively that she’s taking another leave of absence from Grey’s — but this time her reasons are personal not professional. Heigl will be going on a belated maternity leave to spend some QT with new daughter Naleigh. As a result, Izzie will be MIA for another string of episodes (most likely in early 2010.)
Question: Please tell me something will happen soon on Grey’s Anatomy that will make me stop hating the Chief! —Ann Ausiello: Would the sight of him falling off the wagon do the trick? ‘Cause that’s what happens at the end of this week’s episode. http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/11/11/a...ig-love-scrubs/
FanCast: Is Izzie pregnant on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?! The new promo sure makes it look that way. – Sofie It will be interesting to see who Meredith is directing her “You’re pregnant?” at. If Izzie, the timing could be fortuitous for the put-upon Dr. Stevens. As series creator Shonda Rhimes told me, “Izzie has had everything taken from her - she’s had cancer, she’s lost a friend [George], and she had what she saw as a betrayal of a relationship [with Alex] when she got fired - so she’s sort of standing on this very delicate place where she feels like she has nothing. She’s searching for some reason to hang on.” Motherhood could be a very good reason, but I’m just spitballing here. http://www.fancast.com/blogs/the-big-ban...si-ny-and-more/
MegaBuzz: I loved the Arizona-centric episode of Grey's Anatomy. What's next for her? — Lori ADAM: Show of jazz hands: Who wants a musical episode of Grey's? Well, you're probably out of luck, but we will see Arizona sing in the coming weeks! Better still, it's a duet, but don't expect Tony winner Sara Ramirez to be her partner in song. Instead, Arizona will trill with one of her male co-stars. I hear the Chief has a rich baritone. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Scoop-1011875.aspx
TV Guide: How long before Teddy destroys Cristina and Owen's relationship on Grey's Anatomy? — Melissa ADAM: Kevin McKidd tells us Thursday's episode will have a major development in that little love triangle. "Something happens between the three of them that's pretty explosive," McKidd says. "Up until now you've not really seen anyone draw any lines in the sand, but you start to see that this week." Translation: "Desert Storm Barbie" is not welcome in Yang's Dream House.http://www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-Fringe-Mentalist-1012219.aspx
Scoop von Kristin: Alexandra in South Dakota: Anything on Grey's Anatomy? You know how there are often parallels between the storylines for Grey's Anatomy doctors and what their patients are going through? Well, we're a little worried about an upcoming episode where it seems producers are taking a page from an old Nip/Tuck episode: The anesthesia doesn't work on a patient and she wakes up during her surgery and is conscious through terrible agonies of pain. Eeek! (In happier news, by popular demand, we have added Mark and Lexie to our TV Couples We Love gallery. Enjoy!)
Jackson in Utah: Kristin, please tell me there is hope for Owen and Cristina on Grey's Anatomy! I love them, and all this stuff with Kim Raver is giving me a coronary. You are so not alone! But the good news is that I'm assured by a source that we have not seen the last of Cristina and Owen happy together. Word is there are many fans among the writers of these two, and Shonda Rhimes herself just tweeted: "I love Owen and Cristina too. A ton of Owen and Cristina stuff is coming up. In January. When we air again."
Toni in Holland, Mich.: I'm going to die without new Grey's Anatomy episodes until January. Why do we have to wait so long?! TV ratings are kinda schlumpy over the holidays because lots of people are, you know, actually spending time with their families and whatnot, so networks are loathe to "waste" an original episode of a major series during this period. Sorry. In the meantime, can we possibly ply you with some Seattle Grace: On Call webisodes, which post every Thursday in lieu of new TV? (Come on! You guys love watching TV on the computer!) The fake documentary format is a leetle awkward, but it's got awesome Joe the Bartender, a scandal involving preggo Mego and her baby-daddy, Steve, and lots of dish on how Charlie (the big lunk who got Izzie fired) is in looove with Reed (Nora Zehetner). Honestly, if only because this web series isn't behind a stinking pay wall, unlike some Verizon and Amex-sponsored webisode series we could name, you guys should watch—we must encourage this kind of extra-content-producing behavior!
Is anything good coming up for Bailey on ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘? I enjoyed the speech she gave to her dad at Thanksgiving dinner, but it only reminded me of how rough she has had it, and for so long! – Ashley It is entirely by design that Bailey has had to navigate such a grueling gauntlet. As series creator Shonda Rhimes explains, “We’ve put her through a lot in the past couple seasons, and part of the reason we did it is because before that we really didn’t know Bailey. She was sort of an enigma and we wanted to unearth her.” When I asked Rhimes if better days might be awaiting Bailey, she said, “I think she deserves some happiness, and Id like to see her get some.” Rhimes, however, did not offer up a timetable for the turnaround.
